How this wine tastes
The Carato is made with the best selections of Merlot grapes from vines over 40 years old. The grapes are grown in the vineyards of the Colline del Locarnese, where they benefit from the best sunshine during the day and the fresh night wind, enjoying the best conditions for perfect ripening. The Carato rests for about two years in French oak barrels, called "Carati" in Italian. A wine of great structure, fully reflecting the terroir that produced it, of intense and spicy character with great aromatic finesse and elegance.
