Of all the wineries in the DOC Bolgheri area, Argentiera lies closest to the sea and reaches up to the maximum altitude, as the vine-covered slopes extend from the plain up to the hills. These vineyards are completely surrounded by a green Mediterranean scrubland (the macchia), and the land on which the estate stands is bordered by avenues of old pines and olive trees, so the entire terrain lies amid a beautiful landscape rich in intense scents. The varied soil is planted with the varieties Cabernet, Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Syrah; grape varieties that take on an extremely typical character in the Bolgheri area and achieve exceptional quality standards.
