How this wine tastes
In the heart of the renowned Ribera del Duero wine region in Spain, Javier Zaccagnini and star winemaker Mariano García decided in February 1999 to open a new chapter in the book of Tempranillo. The search for the perfect vineyard eventually led the two to a 15-hectare plot belonging to the municipality of Quintanilla de Arriba in Valladolid. In 2006, the winery was pleased to welcome the Masaveu and Nozaleda families, who have enriched the project with expertise and stability ever since.
01/Colour
Impenetrable purple.
02/Nose
Black berries, aromatic herbs, subtle fine wood and coffee, as well as a hint of fine pipe tobacco on the nose.
03/Palate
Plenty of freshness on the palate, an elegant texture and harmonious acid and tannin structure, superbly woven into the peppery fruit. Exceptional length with a full-bodied, intense finish.
