How this wine tastes
In 1978, the Bernese entrepreneur Donald M. Hess acquired the first vineyard plots off the tourist wine routes in California's Napa Valley. In the unique hilly landscape of Mount Veeder, high above the Napa Valley, he found the terrain that matched his ideal vision of vineyards. This marked the beginning of what is today a winery with over 500 ha in production.
01/Nose
The Hess Select Chardonnay shows tropical fruit aromas: pineapple, guava, lemon zest and a subtle vanilla note from the oak.
02/Palate
Aromas continue on the palate, followed by ripe pears, peaches and pineapple. A refreshing drinking experience for carefree enjoyment.
