How this wine tastes
The Ca'Marcanda estate near Bolgheri impresses with its magnificent architecture, which blends perfectly with the Tuscan landscape. The area offers an excellent climate for growing international grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Syrah. Since 1996 Angelo Gaja has planted a good 120 hectares of vineyards here. Despite choosing grape varieties planted worldwide, Gaja does not want to produce wines that conform to international taste, but rather ones that reflect the local terroir and express elegance, freshness and drinking pleasure.
