Amarone della Valpolicella Soprasasso

The Soprasasso Amarone impresses with a balanced structure, harmoniously soft and pleasant with well-integrated oak notes. A long finish is a particular hallmark. The grapes from Valpolicella are produced using the elaborate Amarone method, following conventional fermentation in steel tanks. The Amarone then matures for a further year in Slovenian oak barrels before being bottled for refinement. Brilliant, intense garnet red. Dried plums and fresh cherry notes in the open, multifaceted nose, with also a hint of cocoa. A powerful opening, followed by a characteristically ripe Amarone aromatic profile, currants, also ripe damsons, a pleasantly soft tannin structure, excellently covered aromatically.
