How this spirit tastes
The Finlaggan Port Finish is, along with the Sherry Finish and the Eilean Mor, one of the distillery's 3 new bottlings. A small batch release of 3,000 bottles each, matured in ex-bourbon barrels with a finish in ex-port casks. The Secret Islay Malt - all that is known is that it is an Islay whisky; some claim Lagavulin is involved, but Caol Ila or Laphroaig are also mentioned.

On the nose, sweet peat smoke, summer fruits and smoked bacon.
03/Palate
On the palate, sweet peat smoke with a hint of strawberries and raspberries. Mouth-filling, robust peat and old leather. Peat-fire ash and sweetish on the finish.
