How this wine tastes
The Perrin family owns vineyards on the finest soils in the southern Rhône Valley and has been successful for over a century, known for its unconventional new ideas: since 1953, the Perrins have pioneered organic farming and have also applied biodynamic methods since 1970. They were also the first to plant Rhône grape varieties in the USA. The first Paso Robles vines, planted in 1989, are also thanks to the Perrins. It is therefore no surprise that the Perrin family was named Personality of the Year 2014 by Decanter Magazine, Europe's most influential wine publication.
01/Colour
Deep garnet red with bright highlights.
02/Nose
Distinctly elegant and multi-layered on the nose. Fine notes of undergrowth and truffle blend harmoniously with aromas of wild strawberry and violet, lending the bouquet great refinement.
03/Palate
On the palate, opulent, silky and elegant at once, with perfectly integrated tannins and a seductive texture. Jammy wild strawberries and morello cherries dominate, accompanied by subtly smoky nuances.
