How this wine tastes
With a yield of just 20 hl/ha in the vineyard, Charles Perez obtains a highly concentrated, full-bodied and aromatic wine. Only the grapes from the middle sections of the best sites go into the Excellence, which is aged exclusively in tanks, without any wood contact. The two grape varieties Syrah and Grenache are vinified separately after a selective hand harvest and are neither fined nor filtered. Only after a year of bottle ageing at the estate does the wine come onto the market.

A powerful scent of sun-ripened wild blackberries, juniper, a touch of green tobacco, liquorice, and the tremendous intensity captivate the nose.
03/Palate
On the palate, sweetish berry aromas paired with a refreshing herbal spiciness. Plenty of soft, mature tannin and a balanced acidity give it a firm structure. Dense, multi-layered and long-lasting finish.
