How this wine tastes
The winery of Albert Gesellmann is among the best wine estates in Austria. On around 45 hectares in the best sites of Deutschkreutz, mainly red wines are grown. Since 2015 all wines have also been BIO certified. Countless awards, Falstaff wins and more confirm the path of crafting wines rich in character and typical of the region. The well-known red wine cuvée "Opus Eximium" made from native varieties has existed for 30 years already.
01/Colour
Dark ruby garnet with violet reflections.
02/Nose
On the nose aromas of fresh black forest berry compote, delicately of fine wood, underlaid with fine herbal spice.
03/Palate
Dry, juicy, fresh plums, dark berries, fine acidity, elegant, equipped with ripe tannins, lingers well, a spicy food companion with ageing potential.
