How this wine tastes
Paolo Cottini's winery was established in 2010 in Castelrotto di San Pietro, in the heart of the classic Valpolicella region, combining family tradition with modern winemaking. The roots go back several generations, and Paolo continued the old Pergola Veronese training system in order to make optimal use of the typical soils between 180 and 580 metres. The altitude and varying terroirs produce wines of great structure, depth and complexity. For Paolo, wine is not just a product but an expression of passion, manual work and home.
01/Colour
Dense ruby red with purple-red reflections.
02/Nose
Intense and inviting, notes of pink pepper, vanilla and nutmeg appear. As it develops, aromas of sour cherry and blackberry unfold, rounded off by a floral finish of rose and peony.
03/Palate
On the palate velvety and silky, the wine surprises with a fresh vibrancy, good structure and fine tannins. The finish is rich in ripe, red-fleshed fruit and spicy notes.
