Get to know Cantine Leonardo da Vinci
500 years of wine expertise: for half a millennium, the world has known that Leonardo da Vinci was a brilliant inventor and artist. Less well known is that Leonardo came from a winemaking family in the Tuscan village of Vinci, and that wine was his great passion.
The Villa Da Vinci
The Villa Da Vinci, the estate where Leonardo grew up in the 15th century and where his family already grew vines 500 years ago, still exists today, surrounded by beautiful vineyards.
The genius in the vineyard
Shaped by life on the estate, Leonardo also poured his genius into researching viticulture and developing new methods for the continuous improvement of quality. He recorded his findings in letters and sketches.
Metodo Leonardo®
Today, the wines of the Cantine Leonardo da Vinci are produced according to the traditional Metodo Leonardo®, from cultivation to vinification. In this way, half a millennium of knowledge flows into every vintage.
