How this spirit tastes
The Isle of Arran Distillers Ltd. distillery is located on the Scottish island of Arran, east of Campbeltown, and was founded in 1995. This makes it one of the youngest whisky distilleries in the country. The standard portfolio also includes a number of whiskies with wine cask finishes, such as this Sauternes Cask Finish edition.
01/Nose
Acacia honey followed by apricots, bananas and pears on the nose. Over time, a floral elegance presents itself. Notes of caramel and butter.
02/Palate
Sweet and spicy on the palate. Adding a few drops of water releases the scent of lemon peel. A light saltiness rounds off the palate. A sweet hint of watermelon on the finish.
