Kilchoman Sanaig Islay Single Malt Whisky

Kilchoman was not only the first distillery in 124 years, but is also the only whisky distillery on the island of Islay in Scotland that carries out all production steps on the distillery site - from barley growing through malting to the distilling and maturing of the whiskies in old bourbon as well as sherry casks. It is one of six Scottish distilleries that still uses traditional open malting over peat fires. Founded in 2005 near the small village of Kilchoman by Anthony Wills on Rockside Farm, it produces around 120,000 litres of various Single Malt Scotch Whiskies annually. The Sanaig was named after a small sea bay on Islay.
