How this wine tastes
In this cuvée, the 5 indigenous grape varieties of the Puglia and Abruzzo regions were vinified, drawing on a thousand-year-old winemaking tradition. What was meant to be an experiment became one of Italy's best red wines. The grapes are dried on the vine and harvested around a month later.
Aged for 18 months in barrique made of French and American oak, followed by bottle ageing, unfiltered.
01/Colour
Deep garnet red with a black core.
02/Nose
Intense, lingering, with the alluring notes of ripe cherries, blackcurrants and a touch of cocoa, seductively spicy, cinnamon, clove and a hint of liquorice resonating in the background.
03/Palate
Voluminous, precisely structured, velvety tannins, ideal balance between alcohol and freshness on the palate, a long, lingering finish.
