The legend behind the wine
Z' Johanneli is said to have been the first innkeeper on the Brigerberg in the 17th century. After closing time, she would secretly top up the wine barrel with water. When a guest caught Johanneli in the act one evening, she was banished from the village. She was never seen again after that. It was said at the time that she had to remain forever a lost soul in the glacier waters to atone for her grave sin. But since the Aletsch glacier began to melt, it is said that z'Johanneli has been set free again. This is probably why the wine exists once more, only this time cleansed of her guilt.

Clear pale yellow
02/Nose
The nose is opulent, broad, multi-layered. Aromas of exotic fruit, pineapple, plenty of floral aromas with elderflower and a touch of jasmine, as well as sweetish notes of marzipan and lovely herbal notes.
03/Palate
On entry full-bodied, spicy, fresh with fruit and crisp acidity. On the palate exotic fruit again with pineapple, citrus fruit, sage, herbs, spicy mineral freshness. A wonderful long finish.
