Sainte Victoire Rosé - Château de la Galinière

Château de la Galinière lies at an altitude of between 230 and 257 m above sea level. It is planted on a clayey and sandy soil containing bauxite, which gives it a red colour. This is also where the name of the village Château neuf-le-rouge comes from ("rouge" means "red" in French). The perfect location on an exposed slope protects Domaine de la Galinière from fog: the Corniche des Cengle and the slopes above shelter the domaine from northerly winds, and the two hills opposite the slope limit the impact of the Mistral and easterly winds. Facing south, the domaine enjoys winter sun and mild temperatures. The domaine's grape varieties are Cabernet Sauvignon, Cinsault, Grenache, Syrah, Vermentino and Viognier.
