Get to know Kellerei Kurtatsch

Kellerei Kurtatsch is a traditional cooperative in South Tyrol that has existed since 1900 and today belongs to 190 member families. With around 27 employees, this community forms a young, dynamic yet down-to-earth team with a clear goal: to bring the full potential of the vineyards into the bottle.

A range of altitudes rarely found in Europe

A defining feature is the extremely varied altitudes of the vineyards: they range from 220 to 900 metres above sea level. This diversity allows each grape variety to find exactly its ideal spot: from powerful, warmth-driven red wines from the lower sites to clear, mineral white wines from the heights.

190 families, 190 hectares

Kurtatsch's strength lies in its close-knit community: 190 small family businesses together tend 190 hectares of vineyards. This structure allows for selective grape production, with each vineyard plot cared for individually. The cooperative sees itself not merely as a wine producer but as a long-term living community, with an eye on sustainability and preserving the land for future generations.
