Get to know Rodríguez & Sanzo

Rodríguez & Sanzo is a renowned Spanish estate founded in 2003 by Javier Rodríguez and his wife María. With over 200 years of family winemaking tradition behind it, the estate combines traditional values with innovative approaches, for distinctive wines with their own signature.

Spain's terroirs in the portfolio

On around 80 hectares, the estate cultivates vineyards in various Spanish regions, including Rueda, Rioja, Toro, Ribera del Duero, Rías Baixas, Priorat and Castilla y León. This diversity allows the different terroirs of Spain to be used optimally and expressed in the wines. Work is carried out sustainably, in part biodynamically.

Known for innovative ideas in winemaking

An outstanding example is the «Whisba», a Tempranillo that matures for 18 or 24 months, depending on the bottling, in used whisky barrels, giving it a unique aromatic profile. This method lends the wine additional complexity and has won it a large following.
