How this wine tastes
Falkenberg is a very high-altitude site, south-east facing, very close to the forest. Philipp Kettern says that Falkenberg has always been underestimated by the population. These somewhat cooler, high-altitude sites simply never had the reputation, because in the past they were too cold and often produced slightly greenish wines. But since climate change, these are the sites that can still truly bring out finesse and elegance every single year.
01/Colour
Brilliant pale yellow
02/Nose
Aromas of peach and mirabelle plum, almond, minerals and white pepper.
03/Palate
Pleasantly dry, crisp and aromatic. An extremely creamy and light texture on the tongue. Thanks to its present fruit acidity, the Falkenberg reveals itself on the palate as wonderfully fresh and lively. The finish is accompanied by mineral hints from the slate- and clay-dominated soils.
