Nordes Gin

Thanks to Gin Nordés, the whole world will soon know exactly where Galicia is. The region in the far north-west of Spain has been autonomous since 1981 and, alongside Spanish, has its own language, Gallego. Anyone who has already walked the Camino de Santiago to Santiago de Compostela - home of Atlantic Galician Spirits - will already have gained good impressions of Galicia's landscape and culture. The company belongs to the Osborne Group, whose trademark is the famous Spanish bull and which is devoted to the wine trade. It is therefore hardly surprising that the base alcohol for this gin is distilled from the grape must of the white wine variety Albariño - and that a full four times. Before the fifth distillation begins, the twelve botanicals are added. Six of them come from the region; the others come from around the world. Responsible for the zesty, floral and spicy palate of Nordés Gin are juniper, eucalyptus, hibiscus, black tea, lemon verbena, liquorice, ginger, cardamom, peppermint, bay leaves, quinine and samphire/glasswort.
