How this wine tastes
The Argentine pioneer company Salentein was founded in 1992 by the Dutch businessman Mijndert Pon. The striking bodega is built in the shape of a cross, where the wines mature 8 metres below ground in a barrique cellar reminiscent of an amphitheatre. The vineyards for the Barrel Selections lie in the heart of the Uco Valley at 1050 to 1700 metres above sea level. The nights are cool and the days sunny and warm. The altitude and the special climatic conditions make the Uco Valley one of the most privileged wine regions in South America.

On the nose, aromas of dark fruits such as blackberries, blueberries, blackcurrants and elderberry. Together with fine nuances from ageing in the barrel, reminiscent of winter spices such as cinnamon, vanilla and clove.
03/Palate
On the palate, great fullness, soft yet wonderfully present tannins and fresh, vital fruit acidity. An excellently structured wine with outstanding length and balance.
