How this wine tastes
The name alone has something magical about it: Quinta da Taboadella. The winery is located in the Beira Alta region in northern Portugal, in the municipality of Silvã de Cima. The name and the estate are said to date back to a villa of Roman origin. The earliest confirmed written references date to around 1255. Irrefutable proof of the estate's ancient history, however, is a granite lagar, a fermentation vat hewn from a single rock – one of the oldest testimonies to winemaking in the Daõ region.
01/Nose
Expressive nose of exotic fruits and pear with pleasant notes of white flowers.
02/Palate
Fruity on the palate with a lovely freshness, long finish.
