How this spirit tastes
Every distiller distils and refines their Vieille Prune according to their own philosophy. Fruit extracts (such as dried plums steeped in plum distillate) are often used, though not by us. We produce a Vieille Prune as natural as possible. For this, the spirit matures in 225-litre casks made of Swiss oak.
The symbiosis of fruit and supporting wood is enhanced by the addition of a very small amount of sugar. Typical, lovely fruit on the nose. Pleasant bitter note in the finish.
