How this wine tastes
This robust, finely structured organic red wine comes from the Salento region (Puglia), the heel of Italy's boot. It is pressed from the Negroamaro grape variety. Pruning follows the traditional Apulian bush training method, also known as Alberello or Gobelet: the vines grow to only about 30 cm in height and the shoots grow freely upwards. Yields naturally remain low. Harvesting is selective and by hand, and the destemmed grapes ferment for around 10 days. Part of the wine then matures for 6 months in oak barrels. Masso Antico Negroamaro is a wonderfully fruity and balanced red wine with a fine, lasting finish.

Round and balanced. The sweetness of the tannins gives a rich wine with a long and lingering finish.
